This fantastic development opportunity is open to any woman who has previously worked in the STEM sector and is qualified to do so, but who has not worked in STEM for a significant duration (longer than two years). Many of the jobs of the future are going to be in STEM and the sectors are actively seeking more women, so now is a good time to consider returning to a role that will use your expertise.
During your time away from STEM, you may have been on a career break, had caring responsibilities, been made redundant or been working in an environment not linked to your qualifications.
The Programme of Support delivered by Equate is designed to rebuild your confidence, refresh your skills and equip you to apply for a three-month placement with one of the employers we work with so ultimately you will be ready to return to work fully. Due to funding by the Scottish Government all this support is free to you and available before, during and after any placement.
The 2017 cohort is currently full however if you are interested in the programme, and would like to join our waiting list, simply complete our online application form, without any obligation.
“I moved from a story where I hadn’t done any work for nine years, to a story where I’ve never stopped working, applying my skills, solving problems, achieving ‘continuous improvement’.”
