Equate Scotland and the Connect Network are hosting a wine reception and panel discussion on intersectionality of women in STEM.
There are multiple interventions and activities to support women in STEM, however these interventions, must still put diversity at their heart to ensure they are representative of all women; women of colour, LBT women, disabled women, women with caring responsibilities and from different socio-economic backgrounds.
We will be discussing how we can make sure our support of women in STEM is intersectional, hear from a diverse panel of academics, professionals and recent graduates about their experiences in STEM and what they want to see done to encourage diversity across these sectors.
Wine and nibbles provided!
Speakers include: Dr. Clare Taylor Lecturer at Edinburgh Napier University, Dr. Jo Watts a data and analytics enterpreneur, Mavis Amandi a Project Controls Engineer at Babcock International and Michelle Fisher a policy officer at Inclusion Scotland.
