We would like to formally invite you to attend our Women Returners Programme November workshop, to celebrate how far you have all come and set you up for continued success beyond the duration of the Programme.
This full day workshop is the final development event in the 2017 Women Returners Programme. The workshop will be an opportunity to network with the rest of the cohort and will involve a continuing professional development session with trainer Sam Pringle about managing the emotions associated with change to allow you to take on new opportunities. We will also discuss profiles as your “pitch” back into the industry and Open University opportunities.
As this is the last main event with the rest of the returners, we would really recommend attending, to ensure you make contacts with other women on the programme and get the most from your back to work journey with Equate Scotland. To get the most from the event please complete the pre-work below beforehand.
Various team members will be there for you to speak to during breaks – myself, Helen, Cheryl and our Director Talat. We will also have a guest speaker, previous returner Jenny McLean, as well as trainer Sam Pringle.
I plan to take photos of the group during the session for promotional purposes and to be able to share as part of the group’s collective journey.
Lunch and refreshments will be served.
We look forward to seeing you there.
Pre Workshop Actions
To help you prepare to get the most from the day, and to help us to deliver the workshop in a way that best suits your needs, please:
1. Browse the Open University online ‘Returning to STEM’ course again if it has been a while since you completed it to remind yourself of the content.
2. Review and reflect on the materials from webinars, career clinics, applications, interviews and any other development you have undertaken yourself since you joined the Programme.
3. Let us know if you have any specific dietary or access requirements or if you are travelling further than 100 miles as we will again be able to make a contribution towards your travel expenses.
