Currently, only 18% of employees in this sector are women, despite the sector being the fastest growing in Scotland. To meet skills demands and remain globally competitive, we must increase the diversity of the sector through supporting the ambitions of girls and women.
These free webinars accompany the new best practice guide and will support the gender equality efforts and business plans of tech employers whether they are a start-up, SME or large employer.
Webinars will be interactive, include live Q&As with experts and provide insight into how you take this on, or increase your activities in this area for largest economic and social impact.
Webinar 1 (18th April) 12.30 – 14.30 contents: The business case for gender equality, how to create an attractive workplace culture (e.g. through implementing flexible working and equality training). This session will include a live Q&A with a successful tech employer leading on gender equality work.
Webinar 2 (24th April) 12.30 – 14.30 contents: How to attract more female applicants, taking appropriate positive action measures and case studies. This session will include a live Q&A with an employment solicitor who has an expertise in positive action.
Webinar 3 (27th April) 12.30 – 14.30 contents: How to support women in work and improve retention. This session will consider next steps and support the development of organisational plans.
We recommend that at least 1 representative from your organisation attends all three webinars.
